At the beginning of February this year, Michelin starred chef Eero Vottonen cooked for us at Villa Louise.
Eero comes from Tampere, a city in central Finland. He is the head chef at the Palace restaurant in Helsinki, where he and his team create innovative and sophisticated Nordic dining experiences.
The Palace restaurant was founded in 1952. It has always been a pioneer in Finnish gastronomy. It was the first Finnish restaurant to be awarded a Michelin star in 1987. Located on the tenth floor of a historic building originally built for the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, the restaurant overlooks the city and the sea. Eero Vottonen brought the Michelin star back to the Palace in 2019 after a 30-year absence, and the restaurant received its second Michelin star in 2022. Eero Vottonen is one of the most awarded chefs in Finland.
